Healthy Weight Week celebrates a healthy nondiet lifestyle for everyone. It helps people move ahead to promote a healthy lifestyle and habits that prevent eating and weight problems instead of intensifying them. Healthy Weight Week is a time to stop dieting and get on with living our lives in healthy ways, feeling good about ourselves and others.
National Volunteer Blood Donor Month
January is National Volunteer Blood Donor Month (NVBDM). In an effort to increase awareness of blood donations to help save lives, the nations leading blood donation agencies, America's Blood Centers, AABB, and the American Red Cross, have joined together to promote NVBDM. Donors who are donating for the first time and regular donors are encouraged to make a difference to their communities by planning to donate blood this January. One pint of blood can save up to three lives. One more way to Be A Hero!
